M2A1 Military ammo cans are used extensively in the field to transport a variety of calibers of ammunition to the troops. These cans feature a removable lid with a rubber gasket seal, flat folding handle for carrying, lever-lock lid that is lockable, and they are constructed of heavy gauge steel. These are ideal for storing ammo, tools, or anything you want to keep locked up and secured.
The SWAG ammo can mount is constructed out of 12 gauge 5052 Aluminum which keeps the weight down and does not require painting. Well suited for the off-road, overland expedition, vehicle racing, and or anywhere you need a tough lockable storage box.
Note: The footman loop mounted on the rear of the ammo can is attached using two stainless steel fasteners and nyloc nuts. If you wish to keep the box completely waterproof you will need to remove the fasteners and install silicone and or rubber washers to make a water tight seal.

- (1) 12 gauge, 5021 aluminum mount that is laser cut and formed on a CNC press brake
- (1) Black footman loop
- (2) Stainless steel fasteners & nyloc nuts to attach the footman loop to your ammo can
- (1) 4" long piece of adhesive magnetic tape

excellent quality product. Well designed.
Didn’t fit my .50 box
I came across the Swag 50 cal. mount while looking for a console for my Honda Element. I used a ammo can that was originally for a different project. The Swag fit beautifully on top of the existing 2" high factory drink holder, and I secured it by drilling 2 holes through the ammo can, the 2" factory mount, and the floor. I used 2 M6 bolts, and nylocks on the under body. This thing is completely secure. And the Swag mount makes the transition with style, durability, and excellent design.
Bought 2 50 cal mounts and was so happy with them I bought the 40 cal mount. Only complaint was the bottom mounting screwed were not include as depicted in instructions, but no matter, I was using a different fastener anyway. Fast shipping on both orders!
Great product except for the fact that I had to make the hole on the latch bigger to close over the pin. That is why I gave it only four stars. Also, when I contacted them about the shipping, they got a little pissy.
